Sarah Ahmed is a Muslim scholar, author, and educator whose work lives at the intersection of classical Islamic knowledge and the real, lived experience of Muslim women.
She holds an alimiyyah degree in Islamic sciences and has spent over a decade teaching, writing, and building spaces where Muslim women can encounter their faith with depth, honesty, and dignity. She is the co-director of EmpowHer Health, a faith and wellness community for Muslim women based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and the host of the She Should Know podcast.
Sarah is the author of A Light of Her Own: Muslim Womanhood as a Path to Allah, a book for Muslim women ready to stop navigating their faith on the margins and step into the center of it, and Reading Qur'an: A Step-by-Step Guide to Qur'anic Fluency, which has helped thousands of people rebuild their relationship with the Qur'an.
Her teaching spans courses, halaqas, speaking engagements, and one-on-one counseling — all rooted in the same conviction: that people deserve knowledge that is rigorous, accessible, and deeply their own.
